Hikayemiz Dragon Ball Z'den 10 yıl sonra başlıyor. Ana karakterler Son Goku, Trunks, ve Pan'dır. Yine de Pan'nın büyükbabası olan Goku, 11 yaşında bir çocuk gibi görünmektedir.
Pilaf ve adamları aniden ortaya çıkar. İhtiyarlamış olan Pilaf hala Dünya'yı yönetmek ve yeniden genç olmak istemektedir. Yanlışlıkla "Mükemmel Ejder Toplarını" kullanır ve Goku'yu çocukluğuna döndürür. Goku kaçak robot Gill'le karşılaşır. Goku şimdi bir çocuk olsa da eskisi gibi güçlüdür. Ancak, "Shunkan Idou", "Anlık Hareket" ya da teleportasyon yeteneğini kaybetmiştir. Son Goku, DBGT'de eski haline dönmeye ve Dünya'yı kesin yıkımdan kurtarmaya çalışırken uzayın derinliklerine ve yeni sürprizlere ilerleyecektir.
